To encourage expatriates, residents, visitors, and friends of Uruguay to express their gratitude through charitable giving that supports local communities and strengthens the relationship between those who have benefited from Uruguay and the country they have come to admire.

Bajo el Ceibo is just beginning its journey, but our purpose is clear. Around the world, expatriate organizations often focus on serving their own members. While that work is valuable, our mission is different. We seek to express our gratitude to Uruguay by supporting the charitable organizations and communities that make this country such a welcoming place to live.

Our hope is that this spirit of giving back will strengthen the bonds of friendship between those who have chosen Uruguay as a home and the people who have made them feel at home.
